The Pepperdign Homes business plan is unlike traditional home builders in the area, we focus as much on building custom or semi-custom as we do on our standard plans. The process is much easier than you might imagine.
The first step is to get a lot you want to build on. In most cases buyers have picked out a lot already but if necessary we can help. We have relationships with developers in and around Salt Lake Valley and in many cases can actually save you even more money if you go through us to get your lot.
The second step is designing your home. This is often the most enjoyable part for a new home owner. You can pick from around 35 of our own plans off of our website but if what you want is not there you can simply draw it on a piece of paper. Our architect can bring it to life by taking your floor plan and making it into a workable sketch with room sizes and dimensions, also included with your plan are outside exterior elevations. Or if you have a plan you already have picked out simply bring it to us. We then can create a budget off this plan which will allow us to estimate the cost of building your home.
The third step is engineering your plan. Once the layout of your home is complete and meets all your needs, meaning it fits your budget and the floor plan is just how you want it, we turn it in for engineering. Our engineer will make sure the home is built to meet or exceed all the required building codes set by the city.
The last step is submitting the home for a building permit with the city. Each city has a building department that is required to approve all plans before they can be built. This is another step taken to make sure your home is built properly. The cities main priority is making sure the home meets all the safety regulations.
Once the plans are approved with the city we are then ready to start digging a hole and you are then on your way with your very own custom home.
